Description

Mexacarbate is a white, crystalline carbamate that is classified as a carbamate pesticide. It is used primarily for ornamental plants, turf, and ground covers. It is toxic if inhaled or absorbed by the skin.[PubChem:9414] Mexacarbate may be fatal if swallowed and causes irreversible damage if it comes in contact with the eyes. Symptoms of toxicity include salivation, watery eyes, pinpoint eye pupils, blurred vision, muscle tremors, difficulty breathing, excessive sweating, abdominal cramps, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, weakness, and headache. Extreme exposure can lead to convulsions, unconsciousness and respiratory failure.
