Description
The standard resting metabolic rate (RMR)), by convention, is a reference baseline oxygen consumption constant of 3.5 mL O2/kg/min and is approximately equivalent to 1 kcal/kg/h or 4.184 kJ/kg/h. It is used along with the measured, estimated or reported activity (exercise) metabolic rate to calculate the metabolic equivalent of task (MET). Source: Regenstrief LOINC
