WBC.DNA+Plas.cfDNA
Active
Description
WBC.DNA indicates the DNA isolated from the circulating white blood cells (WBCs). Plasma.cfDNA indicates the circulating cell-free DNA (cfDNA) isolated from the plasma. For women who are pregnant, WBC DNA is only maternal in origin, and cfDNA is both maternal and fetal in origin. Natera's Panorama noninvasive prenatal tests use both the WBC DNA and cfDNA from a single blood sample, and their proprietary informatics analysis method (NATUS) effectively subtracts the maternal genotype from the cfDNA genotype to isolate the fetal genotype.
