Term Description

Maternal morbidity are serious complications experienced by the mother associated with labor and delivery. Complications include maternal transfusions, third or fourth degree perineal laceration, ruptured uterus, unplanned hysterectomy, admission to intensive care unit, and unplanned operating room procedure following deliver. More than one complications may be reported.
