This term is used for reporting the combined race and ethnicity based on the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), Revisions to the Standards for the Classification of Federal Data on Race and Ethnicity (Oct. 30, 1997). It is used in many surveys and data collections, including the CMS Minimum Data Set version 3 and other CMS assessments.
